I agree with Frank, if yours is maxing out at 65 mph, something is definitely wrong somewhere. I've had mine up to the low 90's (of course not sustained, but still, I had no problem getting there). Maybe your "fixing of the kickback" problem created another problem for you. Maxing out at 65 on this bike is totally out of character for this bike.I'd have it checked out first, before moving on to something you might not be as happy with. Being 5'4" myself, I know how important that feel of "feet firmly planted on the ground" at a stop is. Good luck.
